Beautiful Encounters

Beautiful encounters – that’s how I would summarize the latter half of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 in two words.

Never have I ever been so ecstatic, friendos! It’s to the extent of happy tears trickling down my cheeks almost every single day. This holiday break has probably been the most eventful, spontaneous and overwhelming one thus far. The love that I feel continues to consume my heart and overflow like crazy. Full of unexpected friendships, celebrations, and hearty laughter, I feel so grateful for this rare but wonderful feeling. Although this break was sprinkled with moments of hesitation, doubt, and shame, I found myself embracing being outside of my comfort zone, leaping into new and unpredictable situations, coming out stronger and proud of myself for being courageous, kinder, and unapologetically myself. Thanks to my family and friends – both the old and the new – for making this past year the most incredible and unforgettable Christmas and New Year yet. Because of all of you and your genuine love and precious friendship, even the most uncomfortable and intimidating situations and people I had to deal with became meaningless. It’s true what they say…when you’re aware of and happy with what you have and who you are, it translates to all kinds of interactions you’ll have. I’ve never been so cheerful, open to, and light in conversation with just about anyone! Having the right people in your life is a gamechanger. Because having the right people who truly love you never fail to remind you of your value, especially on days when you forget your worth or don’t feel as loveable. When you love and appreciate yourself, it really shows and that’s how you attract peace, prosperity, and true love. There’s just so much magic that happens when you allow people to be themselves by simply loving them. I cannot thank my friends and family enough for the undying love! My heart is finally beating again and that is because of them.

One important lesson I learned early this year is to just go with the flow and enjoy whatever it is that you have. Letting go of what you cannot control, realizing that some things and people aren’t meant for you and not resenting them will make life a whole lot more beautiful because that implies maturity, and the belief that there is a greater plan made just for you. When you can be happy for others who are living happily with or without you, that is a sign of growth. And when you’ve reached that point in your life, it’ll be the best feeling in the world because then nobody can really affect you. #UnbotheredQueen #UnbotheredKing

Now that it’s 2020, a new decade and chapter begins in the book of life. A special shoutout to the Ochoa family for being the sweetest and taking me places! It’s so heartwarming knowing that I’m starting the year with two families!

P.S. Here are some photos that show all the people and moments I’m wholeheartedly grateful for:
